Douglas G. McClure has over 25 years of experience in environmental, real estate, and business law, and has been with Conlin, McKenney & Philbrick since 1991.

Mr. McClure specializes in environmental law. His environmental work includes:

  • Brownfield development and financing, liability protection, environmental financial incentives, cleanups and investigations, Superfund and RCRA sites, storage tank closures, enforcement actions
  • Groundwater contamination
  • Environmental litigation and administrative hearings
  • Environmental insurance coverage issues
  • RCRA corrective action and EPA Prospective Purchaser Agreements
  • EPA Administrative Orders
  • Environmental permits
  • Environmental due diligence, Phase I and II Assessments and Baseline Environmental Assessments
  • Regulatory compliance and Due Care Plans
  • Negotiating environmental agreements
  • Negotiating with U.S. EPA and MDEQ on enforcement and compliance matters
  • Resolving indoor air, mold and asbestos issues
  • Environmental mediation

Mr. McClure is currently the Chair of the Washtenaw County Brownfield Redevelopment Authority, and Vice-Chair of the State Bar of Michigan Environmental Law Section Committee on Environmental Litigation and Administrative Practice. He is the author of two annually updated environmental chapters in publications of the Institute of Continuing Legal Education: Environmental Issues, in Buying and Selling a Business in Michigan, 2nd Edition; and Environmental Torts, in Torts, Michigan Law and Practice, 2nd Edition, as well as the author of numerous articles on environmental law topics.

Mr. McClure is a Lecturer at the University of Michigan Law School, where he teaches the Environmental Administrative Law Practicum.
