Erik Duenas is a shareholder with Conlin, McKenney & Philbrick and focuses his practice on civil litigation defense. Mr. Duenas has successfully represented corporate and private clients at trial in courts throughout the State of Michigan. Mr. Duenas currently represents major insurance carriers in various aspects of coverage disputes, litigation and insurance defense. Mr. Duenas is committed to his clients and has counseled them through pre-suit investigations, examinations under oath, trials and appeals.
Specializing in litigation, Mr. Duenas focuses his practice on civil defense matters involving first party no-fault disputes, automobile negligence, insurance fraud, SIU, Michigan Automobile Insurance Placement Facility claims, premises liability, construction defect, fire losses, product liability, construction accidents with related contractual claims and general litigation defense.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Duenas was the managing attorney for Citizens Insurance Company and supervised litigated cases throughout the State of Michigan. Mr. Duenas was, also, a member of the company’s quality control team and traveled the country auditing litigation files.
Mr. Duenas remains active in the area of Alternative Dispute Resolution, by accepting regular appointments to arbitration panels. He has been appointed as a Special Mediator by a circuit court judge in Wayne County, Michigan. He remains active as a Circuit Court Case Evaluator in multiple counties in the Southeast Michigan area.
Mr. Duenas has demonstrated a commitment to devoting time to the community and has been appointed to the Board of Trustees at Canton Friendship Church. Erik has also volunteered his time by taking on pro bono appointments.
