Arminia Duenas graduated from Wayne State University in 1998, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree, with concentrations in technical theater. In the fall, Ms. Duenas began law school at Wayne State University, attaining her Juris Doctor in 2003. She is committed to and will work tirelessly for her clients.
Upon graduation Ms. Duenas worked for the Women’s Justice Center as the Director of Legal Services handling cases involving domestic violence in family law matters. She was the 2006 Award Recipient of the Wayne County honor for Outstanding Commitment to Ending Domestic Violence in the Wayne County Community for her commitment to her clients and advancement of the goals of the non-profit corporation. Ms. Duenas formulated the first Family Law pro se program at the Women’s Justice Center allowing for the corporation to reach more individuals in need.
Ms. Duenas has worked for various insurance carriers in various aspects of coverage disputes, litigation and insurance defense. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Duenas was the managing defense trial attorney for Pioneer State Mutual Insurance Company. She developed the first in-house legal department and handled active litigation files in a fast-paced litigation environment.
