Cody D. Black was born and raised in Jackson, Michigan. Cody graduated from Central Michigan University’s College of Business Administration in 2015 with a major in Law and Economics and a minor in Business Information Systems. Cody went on to receive his Juris Doctor from the University of Illinois College of Law in 2018. While in law school, Cody was an active member of the Elder Law Journal at the University of Illinois College of Law, serving as a Notes Editor. Cody was admitted to the State Bar of Michigan in 2018 and the State Bar of Illinois in 2019. He is a member of the Washtenaw County Bar Association, as well as the State Bar Associations of Michigan and Illinois.
Cody is an Associate Attorney with Conlin, McKenney & Philbrick, P.C. and his practice focuses primarily on estate planning, probate and trust administration, and disability planning.
