Christopher M. Jacobson is an experienced attorney whose practice has spanned civil litigation, real estate, state and local tax, and regulatory compliance. He has represented clients in private practice and worked in the corporate and government sectors, bringing a strategic, solutions-oriented approach to complex legal matters. He is recognized for his strong legal writing, analytical rigor, and client-focused advocacy.
Most recently, Chris served as a transactional and litigation attorney at a boutique firm, where he served as general counsel to condominium and homeowners’ associations. In that role, he advised boards on governance and compliance, drafted and amended master deeds and bylaws, and issued written legal opinions on community association and real estate law matters.
Previously, Chris spent 7 years at Honigman LLP as a supervising attorney supporting litigation teams on complex commercial and state tax matters. His background also includes service as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Michigan.
Chris holds an LL.M. in Taxation from Wayne State University Law School and a Juris Doctor from Cooley Law School, where he earned multiple Certificates of Merit and class honors.
